SPCA “Cat Colony Care Programme”

The problem of street cats is a long standing social problem. Noticing more and more stray cats roaming about our neighbourhood, YCK2 has approached SPCA and joined its “Cat Colony Care Programme” in order to improve the welfare of these animals in a more humane and sustainable way. The programme is based on the concept of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), aiming to control the number of abandoned or wild cats through desexing, vaccinations, microchipping and basic preventative treatment against parasites. The cats that had been treated will have one of their ears “tipped” as an identification. It is not a missing corner, but a mark of happiness and health! We are on the right track to creating a loving and caring community for all living things.
