Career Visit to HKBU Division of Nursing Education

On 3 October 2026, students of Yu Chun Keung Memorial College No.2 participated in a meaningful career visit to the Division of Nursing Education at Hong Kong Baptist University. Organised under the Caritas Youth and Community Service programme, the activity aimed to broaden students’ horizons and deepen their understanding of the nursing profession as a caring vocation.

The programme included an informative talk on nursing education and career pathways and a guided tour of the professional nursing laboratories. Students showed keen interest and asked thoughtful questions about the challenges, responsibilities and rewards of a nursing career. The hands-on exposure to tertiary nursing facilities allowed them to gain authentic insights into the professional expectations of healthcare workers.

This career visit effectively promoted key values in values education, including Care for Others, Empathy, Responsibility, Commitment and Diligence. By learning about the dedication required in nursing, students reflected on the importance of serving the community with compassion and professionalism. The experience reinforced the school’s emphasis on cultivating positive attitudes and preparing students to contribute meaningfully to society.
