內容：學生進行「問題—探索—經驗」的解難實驗，自製過濾柱解決問題，並進一步探討社會議題──水資源。

Aim:

To compare the water purifying ability of a filtration column made with fine sand to that of one made with coarse sand.

Content:

Students were provided a chance to make their own filtration column made with different sands. Through the scaffolding of teachers, students designed their own experiment to solve a problem. They acquired skills in scientific investigation and doing experiments. This topic is also related to the social issue - water resources.
