2026–2027 School Opening Ceremony
On 1st September 2026, Yu Chun Keung Memorial College No. 2 officially launched the 2026-2027 academic year with a vibrant Opening Ceremony! Reverend Fr. Benedict Shum from St. Margaret's Church officiated our opening prayer, blessing the YCK2 family with physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Sharing the story of “the Master and the Slave”, Fr. Shum powerfully reminded us to live in harmony with others. He passionately encouraged every student to fulfill their duties and cultivate an earnest attitude.
Our newly appointed Principal, Mr. Lai Tsz-hin, then delivered an inspiring address, announcing our school-based virtue for this year: Integrity. It means doing what is right, even when nobody is watching, anchored by three vital character strengths:
Honesty: Honesty is more than just telling the truth; it means being real, brave and authentic.
Prudence: Think before you act! Protect our community by stopping unverified rumors and always considering others' feelings.
Righteousness: Own your responsibilities. Be someone who keeps their word and honors their commitments.
Principal Lai encouraged students to embrace these characters so they can grow into responsible, trustworthy young leaders. After proudly introducing our new YCK2 family members, our entire school stood together to sing the school song, kicking off this journey with incredible energy. We firmly believe the year ahead will be successful and fruitful!

The opening ceremony kicked off with a grand flag-raising ceremony performed by the school flag squad.

The school invited Fr.Benedict Shum to celebrate the prayer section of the opening ceremony, and bless all the students.

Principal Lai Tsz-hin presented the opening speech and announced the 'Integrity' Virtue for school-based Value Education this year.

Father Shum Hin-ho, Principal Lai Tsz-hin, and the new teachers took a group photo together.
