Science Experience Day — Dr. Tong Shiu-Sing 「趣味科學教育體驗日」—湯兆昇博士

Science Experience Day 2017-18

The Science Experience Day organized on 30th June aimed at letting students from our partner primary schools, parents and teachers experience the fun of science. We were honoured to have Dr. Tong Siu Sing, the senior lecturer in the Physics Department at the Chinese University of Hong Kong to explain the concept of electromagnetism through different experiments with microwave oven and magnetic levitation. Under the humorous presentation of Dr. Tong, the audience found scientific knowledge accessible and enjoyable. Following the talk, participants got hands on experience in our science booths. The school was filled with enthusiasm and joy. Lastly, our principal, Mr Li thanked Dr Tong and all participants for their active involvement in the Science Experience Day.

「趣味科學教育體驗日」2017-18

本校於六月三十日舉辦了「趣味科學體驗日」，夥伴小學的老師、學生和家長踴躍參加，一起寓學習於活動，體驗科學的趣味。當天邀請香港中文大學物理系高級講師湯兆昇博士擔任主講嘉賓，講座主題「從微波爐及磁浮實驗了解電和磁的世界」。湯博士以最「貼地」的方法，讓同學由淺入深，體會到科學就是生活，生活就是科學。此外，設有科學攤位遊戲和示範，讓學生動手學習，校園洋溢著一片歡笑聲。最後，李德輝校長感謝湯兆昇博士和各夥伴小學出席，使活動辦得有聲有色，深信各參加者獲益甚多。
