Southern District Secondary Schools Presentation 2019

On 10th November, over 400 primary school students and their parents visited Yu Chun Keung Memorial College No.2 at the Southern District Secondary Schools Presentation 2019. After a warm welcome from our uniform groups, our guests got acquainted with our school through a campus tour and different taster classes. Everyone gathered at the school hall to learn about our school-based STEAM curriculum, which features Science, Techonlogy, Engineering, Arts, Aviation, and Math. In the STEAM curriculum, students are encouraged to master relevant knowledge through research, application and consolidation. Following Principal Li’s introduction of our STEAM curriculum, two of our non-Chinese students shared the characteristics of our school-based Internationalised curriculum in Cantonese and English respectively. The curriculum provides authentic life experiences, diverse learning and project learning to cater for the diverse learning needs and development of students. The activity ended with a group photo capturing the happy moment everyone had at YCK2.

南區中學巡禮2019

十一月十日上午，四百多位參與「南區中學巡禮2019」的小六學生及家長蒞臨余振強紀念第二中學。他們在制服團隊列隊歡迎下步進校園，隨即展開豐富的遊覽歷程。參觀校園後，眾人聚首禮堂。李德輝校長介紹本校積極發展的「STEAM課程」，課程包括數學、科學、科技、藝術及航空(Aviation)元素，鼓勵學生透過實踐以掌握相關學習概念，並在探究、應用、自學中鞏固及拓展。隨後，兩位非華語學生分別用英語和廣東話介紹「校本國際化課程」的特色，課程按學生學習的獨特性及多元智能發展需要，提供生活體驗、多元學習及主題考察等活動，締造活力充沛的學習氛圍。最後，各人齊集校禮堂拍一張浩浩蕩蕩的四百人大合照，氣氛熱鬧歡欣。
